Serenity Prayer

Sometimes the warning bells that go off in your head is from remembering the hard lessons that knocked you on your ass, and a warning that needs to be heeded that you're going down the same path, and for the love of God, stop. Sometimes, it's baggage you thought you had let go of, rearing it's head because the situation's similar- yet different. It's something where you can't let being burnt stop you from exploring something that will actually bring about good things just because of past experiences. Bitch of it is, while hindsight's 20/20, in the moment- they feel the same. If a genie came and offered to grant me 3 wishes, I'd wish for the "Serenity Prayer" Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Alcoholics say it, but seriously- what couldn't you accomplish with that?
